Contribute to the restoration of Friendswood tree loss by working alongside other organizations to help fundraise and plant new trees for future generations of Friendswood to enjoy.

RECLAMATION
Leading efforts to repurpose dead or removed trees for artwork and meaningful pieces for the community to enjoy a lasting legacy of our beautiful Friendswood Trees.
What We Do...
Since 2021, Tree Legacy has been a grassroots, volunteer-led nonprofit working to protect Friendswood’s historic trees. After several century-old oaks were cut down in downtown Friendswood, we rescued the wood and partnered with a local sculptor to create The Founders Tree — a powerful piece of public art honoring the city’s origins.
From that moment, Tree Legacy was born — a 501(c)(3) focused on:
-
Preserving historic trees still standing
-
Restoring canopy loss by planting new trees
-
Reclaiming removed trees as lasting works of art
We're just tree-loving locals trying to care for the roots of our town — literally.
